I bet it got great mileage.
I rented a little minnie/minnie Winnebago once, the one they built around a Renault diesel chassis.
Zero to sixty times were best measured with an hourglass, but that little sucker got about 28 mpg if memory serves. Not bad for hauling around kitchen sinks and flush toilets. My wife nicknamed it "the wonder puppy".

Jim, when you said 7/8's size you said Tundra, but you must have meant Tacoma.

Tundra meets the traditional yardsticks for an american pick up truck: 8 ft. bed and three across seating.

According to the scales at the dump it weighs 5000# with me and a full tank of gas. The F150 ahead of me last week checked out at 5400# but that was an extracab with a shell and two guys aboard.

If there is something lacking in the the engine department (or maybe compartment) I can't find it. I busted up an old foundation two months ago and hauled the rubble to the dump. The truck/trailer/load checked in at 12,000# and I did sixty climbing the hill to get there with gas pedal left over. And the whole scenario occurred at a mile above sea level.

The max trailer weight rating is 7200# The payload is rated at 1900#
Not sure where that fits into the standards for 1/2 ton or 3/4 to trucks.

Ok. I'll buy 19/20's but not 7/8's.

Turd(ra)?? Was that a freudian slip?

Anyway back to more serious matters.

Ever since the "7/8's" issue was raised I have been parking my Turdra... whoops I mean Tundra.... next to other American pick-ups when ever possible and eyeballing along the front and rear bumpers. (Yes I meant to say other American pick-ups, my truck was made right here.......)

Anyway, if there is any significant difference in overall length or width I can't see it: Maybe an inch here or there, if that much.

Who ever did those measurements and the 7/8's calculation must have been using an American tape measure on one and a chinese tape measure on the other.
